Year in summary: Trends and predictions for the Brisbane property market in 2020

Commentators expected Brisbane to build on annual growth of 2.8 per cent in 2019, with some forecasting the largest national house price gains and a 20 per cent lift in the median by 2022, while unit values stayed flat. Propertyology’s Simon Pressley urged investors to weigh building approvals, jobs and population growth rather than react to recovery headlines. South East Queensland vacancy rates sat between 1 and 1.5 per cent.
