What’s causing investors to sell? New survey reveals investment pain points

The tenth edition of PIPA’s investor sentiment survey reported 14.1 per cent of respondents had sold at least one rental in the year to August 2024, with owner occupiers and first home buyers taking about two-thirds of those properties. Nearly one in five sellers had owned the dwelling for less than three years. Victoria was rated the least accommodating jurisdiction, while Queensland’s standing improved markedly.
