Victoria ranked worst state to be a property investor as one in four Melbourne landlords sell home in past year

A quarter of Melbourne investors surveyed by PIPA had sold at least one rental home over the past year, and Melbourne slid from second favourite capital among landlords to eighth of the nine ranked, above only Hobart. The organisation estimated 217,000 investment homes were sold nationally across the period, and found 38 per cent of investors might sell again within 12 months.
