Property commentators suggested the NSW Central Coast stood to gain from the shift to working from home and from retirees leaving crowded areas, with HotSpotting’s Terry Ryder noting the market had been improving before the shutdown. A retirement listings site recorded Chain Valley Bay and Kincumber among the most searched suburbs. PIPA chairman Peter Koulizos expected any weakening in prices to be limited to between five and 10 per cent before a recovery.
