Regional dwelling values rose 23.1 per cent to a median of $503,609 in the year to September, outpacing the 19.5 per cent gain across the capital cities, CoreLogic data showed. Regional New South Wales led with a median above several capitals, and medians in Geelong, Newtown and Lake Wendouree passed $1 million for the first time, though advisers cautioned that population inflows alone did not guarantee investment success.
