The rise of the female investor in Australia

Advisers reported a marked rise in women investing in property, with CBRE’s Annabelle Nader saying the gender split among her clients had moved from about 80:20 towards even over 13 years. PIPA chair Nicola McDougall, co-author of a book on female investors, said lower superannuation balances and greater housing insecurity made independent ownership important, and encouraged women to buy and retain property in their own name.
