The median house price will cross the $2m threshold within two decades

A columnist used PIPA research showing Perth house values rose 186 per cent in the two decades to June 2024 to project the city’s median passing $2 million by 2044. The same analysis ranked Perth sixth of 15 markets over that period, behind regional Tasmania on 233 per cent and Adelaide on 209 per cent. Extra apartment supply was cited as the main thing that could alter the path.
