Melbourne technology entrepreneur Danny Wallis said he would wind down his portfolio of 11 homes bought from The Block, blaming Victoria’s lower land tax threshold from January 2024 and tenancy law changes, and planned to reinvest interstate. PIPA research cited in the report found 38 per cent of investors might sell within a year, and that 31.35 per cent of Victorian investors had already sold a rental.
