Experts canvassed on whether to transact during the pandemic said buyers with secure incomes and organised finances were well placed, with forecasts for national price falls ranging from 10 to 30 per cent. Michael Yardney argued downturns had historically produced the best entry points, while PIPA chairman Peter Koulizos warned that a cheap property in a weak location was no bargain and that due diligence still mattered.
