Major bank forecasts of housing price falls of between 14 and 17 per cent by the end of 2023 needed to be weighed against the scale of recent gains, analysts said. PropTrack reported national values had climbed 14 per cent in the year to May and 35 per cent since March 2020, meaning a decline of about 26 per cent would be required to unwind the boom.
