PIPA said strengthening values and positive forecasts had again demonstrated the durability of Australian housing, pointing to its table of median house price growth in the five years after past downturns, which showed Sydney up 100.7 per cent to 1980. Survey findings that 71 per cent of investors were less inclined to sell helped explain thin listings. Peter Koulizos urged buyers to use accredited professionals.
