Suburbtrends data identified the Queensland postcodes with the highest share of former rental homes listed for sale in the year to June, with ex rental stock exceeding 40 per cent of listings in Roma, Hodgson and Moranbah. Analyst Kent Lardner and PIPA chair Nicola McDougall linked the selling to higher holding costs and tenancy law changes, warning the shrinking rental pool would push rents higher.
