PIPA’s annual investor sentiment survey found 33 per cent of its 1,618 respondents rated Queensland the best state for investment prospects, keeping top spot but well down on the 58 per cent recorded a year earlier. Western Australia climbed to second on 17.8 per cent, ahead of New South Wales and South Australia, while Victoria fell to its lowest ranking. Interest in regional and coastal markets softened as metropolitan areas gained favour.
