Buyers’ agents expected the Brisbane market to absorb the effects of the February flooding, pointing to research showing 19 of the 20 worst affected suburbs in 2011 went on to outperform the wider city over the following five years. BuyersBuyers co-founder Pete Wargent said enquiry levels had held up, and a short term squeeze on rental supply was likely as displaced households sought temporary accommodation.
