Forecasters expected price growth to cool during 2022 after CoreLogic recorded annual gains of 20.6 per cent to November 2021. PIPA chair Peter Koulizos said more stock would reach the market as lockdowns and travel restrictions lifted, and that higher lending and assessment rates would curb borrowing capacity, while returning migrants and students were tipped to lift rents first and prices afterwards.
