Perth weakest in house price growth

Analysis by PIPA board member Peter Koulizos ranked Perth last among the capitals for median house price growth over two decades, with values rising 3.05 times since March 2002 to $580,000. Hobart led at 5.9 times, followed by Adelaide and Canberra, while Sydney and Melbourne sat near the bottom. Koulizos said buyers should treat property as a long-term holding and disregard short-term movements.
