Out of the cocoon: The re-emergence of investors

Investors returned to the market in numbers as record low mortgage rates and rapid capital growth made property more attractive than cash savings. ABS figures showed capital city housing values grew 6.7 per cent in the June 2021 quarter, the largest quarterly increase since the series began in 2003, with prices widely tipped to finish the year about 20 per cent higher.
