Melbourne’s top money-making property markets of the decade

Rockbank and Mount Cottrell in Melbourne’s outer west topped a CoreLogic and PIPA study of the decade, with the median house price rising an average 7.9 per cent a year to $598,268. Doncaster East followed, while Abbotsford, Elwood and Bulleen also passed $1 million. PIPA chairman Peter Koulizos tipped gentrifying suburbs such as Footscray, Maidstone and Braybrook as the next candidates.
