Landlords offload hundreds of thousands of rental properties

PIPA’s annual sentiment survey found 12.1 per cent of investors had sold at least one rental in the previous year, with only 24 per cent of those homes bought by another investor, down from 33 per cent. Selling was heaviest in Queensland at 39.8 per cent and Victoria at 31.35 per cent, and higher taxes were the leading reason, cited by 47 per cent of sellers.
