Seven PIPA experts reviewed conditions in each state, reporting softer prices led by the larger capitals as rapid rate rises and the retained lending buffer curbed borrowing capacity. Buyers agents described mixed sentiment in New South Wales, unexpected resilience in Victoria led by inner city apartments, and hesitancy among Queensland buyers. Low stock levels and falling vacancy rates were common themes across the markets surveyed.
