PropTrack’s September quarter rent report recorded median rent rises across 252 Queensland suburbs for houses and 139 for units, reversing much of the relief seen three months earlier. New Farm posted the steepest house increase at 15 per cent, while regional centres including Goondiwindi and Pialba also recorded sharp annual jumps. Agents linked part of the movement to new rules limiting increases to once a year, prompting larger single rises.
