Could Chinese developers Forbes Global 2000 rankings spark hope for Aussie build-to-rent solutions?

Chinese developers China Vanke and Longfor Group, both active in rental housing, featured among the world’s largest listed real estate companies in the Forbes Global 2000, prompting questions about whether their model could inform Australian build to rent. Rents had risen at least 10 per cent in more than 44 per cent of local markets, while PIPA research found 162,000 rental properties had left the Queensland pool in two years.
