PIPA chair Peter Koulizos cautioned that rising markets tend to attract operators who exploit inexperienced buyers, and urged investors to check the credentials of advisers, brokers and accountants, Australian Broker reported. He pointed to CoreLogic data showing a 0.8 per cent November lift in dwelling values and to PIPA research finding Sydney prices doubled in the five years after the mid 1970s recession.
