2018 PIPA Sydney Breakfast Seminar

 

The 2018 Sydney breakfast seminar will be a chance to hear from PIPA Chairman Peter Koulizos as well as from two expert speakers.PIPA breakfast seminar logo

PIPA deputy chair David McMillan will outline the benefits of having a strong well-thought out advice model, including:

  • What's the difference between a buyer's agent and an investment adviser?
  • What is an advice model and what does it look like?
  • The benefit to the client of using an advice model

CoreLogic research analyst Eliza Owen will also provide an exclusive capital city market review.

This event is FREE for PIPA members and includes a light breakfast.

The event is also open to non-members and also provides an an opportunity to learn more about PIPA as well as network with other industry practitioners.

Meet the Presenters:   

 

Peter Koulizos Cropped

 

PIPA chair Peter Koulizos is currently the Co-ordinator of the property and share investment courses at TafeSA. He also teaches the property program at the University of South Australia. He has been teaching in real estate and investment for almost 20 years. Peter also personally invests in property and currently holds several properties.

Peter researches property markets around the nation, looking for the best suburbs to invest in each capital city. He has published two books, "The Property Professor's Top Austalian Suburbs" and more recently "Property vs Shares".  He is also a regular contributor to numerous newspapers, magazines and websites and is sought after by TV and radio for his research and comments on the property market.

PIPA deputy chair David McMillan is the Acquisitions Director and Principal at Performance Property.  With 14 years experience in the property industry, David is a fully licensed real estate agent in Victoria and Queensland, a Certified Practicing Property Valuer, a Qualified Property Investment Adviser and active investor. 

He has been involved in more than $500 million worth of transactions across Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.  David joined the Australian Property Institute in 2001 and is now an Associate.  David is also a member of the Real Estate Institute. 

   

 

 

 

Eliza Owen Headshot 

       

Eliza Owen, joined CoreLogic with the acquisition of Residex in mid-2016.  She graduated with a first class honours economics degree from the University of Sydney in 2014, while working as a researcher and writer on the residential housing market. 

Her knowledge and experience of property research saw her appointed to the role of CoreLogic Commercial Research Analyst in January 2017. Eliza specialises in researching and reporting on commercial market trends, the construction sector and the interplay of these segments with broader economic factors.

Eliza has been a regular on Backchat on FBI Radio, and has been a guest speaker on Triple J's Hack, 702 ABC Radio, Sky News and at TEDx Youth Sydney.  Her property market commentary has appeared in The Guardian Australia, the Australian Financial Review, Pedestrian TV and the Daily Telegraph.
